If you're planning to clean your house with high pressure washer, one of the most critical questions is how much pressure do you need? Different surfaces require different psi settings. If you're not using the correct psi setting, you can damage the surface you're cleaning.
The best way to determine if your pressure washer can do the job is to check the manufacturer's recommendations and then test it on a small area before moving to a larger area. You need to make sure that the amount of water coming out won't damage anything, or cause any damage if it doesn't get where you expect it to.
In general, siding and driveways are the most common surfaces that can be easily cleaned with a pressure washer rated at 2,000 PSI, with a tip capable of delivering 2,000 pounds of force per square inch. For most people, this will be a good choice as it can handle most tasks around the house without breaking the bank. But if you want to remove paint or graffiti on concrete, you need higher PSI, you can consider 3000 PSI, BISON's latest 3000psi 1.2 gpm electric pressure washer series is well worth a try.
But for window glass, BISON recommends a pressure of around 1500 psi. Never use more than 2,000 psi. Also, use the green 45 degree or white 60 degree nozzle when cleaning windows. If you need a really dirty area, always start far away and work closer. For soft materials, such as cork, you should use a lower pressure, around 500 to 600 psi.
There are two main types of pressure washers on the market today, electric and petrol powered models. Electric pressure washers are usually less expensive, they are not as powerful as petrol models, but require less maintenance. That means electric models won't do a good job of cleaning some stubborn stains on hard surfaces like concrete. Most electric models can produce about 1300 to 2000 psi of pressure and about 1.5 GPM of water flow. But more powerful electric models have recently come out, and for home use, BISON recommends larger electric pressure washers that should be able to deliver around 2,500 to 3,000 psi. This is enough to perfectly clean hard surfaces like concrete driveways. If you don't need to clean such hard surfaces, the smaller electric models will do just fine.
Petrol-powered models are more powerful and come in a variety of sizes. BISON's large petrol pressure washer offers 3000 to 4000 psi of pressure and 4 GPM of water flow. The smaller models can still deliver 2000 to 3000 psi, which is almost 3 GPM, and cost about half as much as the larger models. The higher pressure of most petrol models makes them great for cleaning concrete driveways, preferably around 2500 psi.
I believe that through the above content, everyone will have a better understanding of how much PSI is used for high-pressure house cleaning. However, there are still some details worth noting when cleaning, let us take a look!
Choose the right high pressure washer to match the material of the house to the correct water pressure rating;
Prepare the area and wear safety gear;

Bottom-up cleaning;
When you have finished pressure washing your home, turn off the pressure washer and disconnect it from the garden hose;
